🏢 YellowDoor Hotels · 📍 Abuja — Remote
₦100,000 – ₦150,000/month
ABOUT THIS JOB
YellowDoor Hotels is recruiting a Graphic Designer to support the visual identity and marketing activities of its boutique hotel and restaurant brand in Abuja. This is a full-time remote opportunity for a designer who can consistently produce professional, clean and visually appealing work while following established brand guidelines.
The successful candidate will play an important role in how the hotel and its restaurant are presented to customers online and through printed marketing materials. Rather than simply producing individual graphics whenever requested, the designer will be responsible for creating a consistent visual experience across different communication channels.
The role is particularly focused on static graphic design. This includes creating social-media graphics, promotional materials, flyers, posters, banners, menus, digital advertising creatives and other visual assets required by the marketing team.
The designer will be expected to turn marketing briefs into finished designs with minimal back-and-forth. This means understanding what the marketing team is asking for, identifying the key message that needs to be communicated and translating that message into a visually effective design.
Brand consistency is a major part of the position. Every design produced should follow the company's established visual identity, including appropriate typography, layouts, colours, imagery and other brand elements. The designer must therefore be comfortable working within brand guidelines rather than treating every project as an opportunity to create an entirely different visual style.
The position also requires an understanding of social-media design. Social-media graphics need to be visually attractive while remaining easy to understand on mobile devices. The designer will need to create content that communicates the intended message quickly and maintains the hotel's premium image.
Print design is another important part of the job. The successful candidate may work on flyers, posters, banners, restaurant menus and other printed materials. These designs need to be prepared correctly for their intended use, with appropriate dimensions, layouts and delivery formats.
Digital advertising creatives are also included. This means the designer should understand how to create visual advertisements that communicate a clear message and encourage an audience to take action.
The role requires strong attention to typography and visual hierarchy. A good design is not only about making something colourful or attractive. Information must be arranged so that viewers can quickly understand what is most important. Headlines, supporting information, calls to action, imagery and other elements need to work together effectively.
The designer will work directly with the Marketing lead. When a brief is unclear, the designer should be able to ask useful questions, clarify the required output and then execute the design efficiently. Feedback should be treated professionally, with revisions incorporated without unnecessary delays.
Reliability is particularly important because this is a remote position. The employer is looking for someone who can work independently and deliver completed designs within agreed deadlines without requiring constant supervision.
The position has a monthly output expectation of more than 15 approved static assets across social, print and digital formats. This means applicants should be comfortable managing several design requests and organizing their workload so that deadlines are consistently met.
File management is another responsibility. Creative files need to be organized securely and delivered in appropriate formats so that authorized members of the company can access and use them when necessary. A designer who produces excellent artwork but cannot maintain an organized file structure can create unnecessary problems for a marketing team.
The successful applicant should therefore have practical knowledge of professional design software. The vacancy specifically mentions Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Canva or Figma knowledge is also useful for lighter design and collateral requirements.
A strong portfolio is particularly valuable for this type of role. Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate examples of their previous graphic-design work, especially social-media graphics, advertising creatives, branding, print materials, menus or lifestyle/hospitality-related work.
Experience working with a hospitality brand is preferred but is not presented as an absolute requirement. Similarly, experience creating lifestyle-brand designs or restaurant and food menus can give an applicant an advantage.
The hotel environment makes this opportunity particularly interesting for designers who enjoy working with visual brands. Hospitality marketing depends heavily on attractive photography, strong layouts, promotional materials and consistent branding because customers often make decisions based on how a hotel, restaurant or experience is presented.
The designer will therefore have an opportunity to contribute directly to the public image of the business. A well-designed social-media post, promotional flyer or restaurant menu can influence how customers perceive the quality and professionalism of the brand.
The position is remote, meaning the successful candidate does not need to work from the company's physical location every day. However, the employer expects the designer to be available during agreed working hours for meetings and communication.
Applicants should therefore have a reliable way to communicate with the company and submit work on time. Remote work requires discipline, organization and the ability to manage deadlines without someone physically supervising the employee.
The advertised compensation is ₦100,000 to ₦150,000 per month. The actual salary within that range may depend on the candidate's experience, ability and the employer's assessment during recruitment.
There is also potential for career progression. The employer states that strong performance can create a pathway toward Senior Designer or Creative Lead as the brand expands its marketing function.
This makes the opportunity potentially useful not only for someone looking for immediate employment but also for a designer who wants to build professional experience and eventually move into a more senior creative position.
Overall, this vacancy is best suited to a graphic designer who already has practical experience, understands branding and visual communication, can work independently, can meet deadlines and can produce consistent professional designs without requiring constant supervision.
If you have experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva or Figma and have a portfolio that demonstrates your ability, this is the type of vacancy where your actual work can be just as important as the qualification written on your CV.
Applicants should review the full vacancy carefully before applying and should submit their application before the stated deadline of 25 September 2026.

No. A genuine employer never asks candidates to pay for training, forms, uniforms, or "logistics" before or during hiring. If anyone asks you for money to secure this role, it's a scam — report it using the "Report this job" button above.
