About the role

This is an internship for an MCR (Master Control Room) Operator at Femywalsh Limited. The Master Control Room is the technical nerve centre of a broadcast station — the place where programming is transmitted, scheduled and monitored. As an MCR Operator intern, you will be responsible for the smooth and reliable operation of the control room, ensuring accurate transmission of television and broadcast content.

In a typical day you will monitor transmission systems, schedule programmes, manage playout (what goes on air and when), watch for technical issues, and promptly escalate faults to the technical team. It is a role for someone who is calm under pressure, attentive to detail, and comfortable with broadcast technology — you must be willing to learn, work shifts, and keep the station on air without errors.

Candidates should be currently pursuing or recently completed an OND, HND, Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Students of Mass Communication, Broadcasting, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Film Production, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Digital Media and related fields are encouraged to apply. Basic computer literacy, punctuality, discipline, creativity, teamwork and professionalism are required. The published salary is N50,000 to N70,000 per month.

The closing date is 30 September 2026. Applications are by email with your CV and cover letter, using the job title as the subject.

Who this job is for: recent graduates and students in media or tech-related disciplines who want hands-on broadcast experience. MCR experience is a recognised pathway into broadcast engineering, production and operations roles. Before applying, show interest in broadcast technology, and be ready to work a non-9-to-5 schedule — broadcasting runs around the clock.

How to apply: Send your CV and Cover Letter to jobs@femywalsh.com using the Job Title as the subject of the email. For more enquiries, send a WhatsApp message to +2349138983196.
